Hello, Soldiers, Sailors, Airman, and Marines!  (and dependents)

My name is Chris Clark and I am currently in my third semester at Diablo Valley College. Before coming here I served as a Recon Marine with 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, for a total of four years, with two deployments to Iraq. I got out of the Marine Corps as a sergeant and I also received a purple heart during my first OIF tour.

As president I intend on focusing my efforts on getting as many veterans from the campus together as possible, with this we can both share what we all have in common as men and women who served, and help those who may need assistance in readjusting to campus life, as some of us know can be a little overwhelming at first. I would also like to explore every opportunity afforded to us as veterans, and share these opportunities with the group. In the first meeting I ever attended, I learned about scholarships and opportunities I never knew existed. A major goal of mine would be to see that all veterans on campus were exposed to these benefits. Overall my goals are bringing veterans together, and through whatever means, helping each other as we move on in our next phase of life.
