Conceived by a group of Diablo Valley College military veterans and their classmates, The Homeless Veteran Project is an annual fundraiser and benefit concert aimed at raising funds and awareness for the Bay Area homeless veteran population. In 2009, the project will donated to Swords to Plowshares of San Francisco and East Bay Stand Down; a local event allowing homeless vets to get back on their feet. We feel both organizations have an incredible hand in making the lives of veterans better. Whether working to break the cycle of homelessness, provide job and resource direction and or housing, these groups lie at the heart of prevention and rehabilitation. We encourage monetary contributions, though they’re certainly not necessary. Please, feel free to eat, enjoy the music, and meet new people.
